Come check out the NEW Dare Challenge over at ASF

This week's challenge is old school, check it out....

DT Dare 8/31 - 9/6
Ready for this week’s dare.
So many times we all get caught up in doing layouts/cards for challenges or DT assignments that we forget the reason that we all starting scrapping. So, your challenge is to do a layout or two cards just for you. It cannot meet any challenges or be for any assignments or be for the upcoming cybercrop. I want you to remember why you started scrapping in the first place.

New Challenge is up over at ASF!!!!

I'm the guest designer over at ASF, ascrappinfriendsy for the months of August and September and we have a NEW challenge up over there....Check it out!!!!

DT Dare Aug 24 - Aug 30
Another week, another dare. This one is from Amy!
Statistics- a collection of quantitative data.
This challenge is all about numbers! Think for a minute of all the numbers we keep track of: our kid’s height/weight, our own weight (HA!), gas prices, grocery prices, car mileage, kid’s clothing/shoe sizes, etc.
You might find this a good time to compare something. Then/Now, Before/After….how much a baby weighed when born & how much he weighs now. Or if you’re like me…with a BUNCH of kiddos…do a LO about how much each child weighed at birth (cool to see the similarities/differences). If you’re doing Weight Watcher’s(or any kind of diet)….do a before/after LO. How old were you parents when they first had kids/how old were YOU when your first child was born. Compare prices of everyday items (gas, milk, a home) now & the year you were born.
Maybe you just want to document the ’stuff’ in your life. How about the cost of school supplies this fall- with an itemized list. Maybe your grocery bill for the week. How many song files in your digital library. How many photos do you take each month. How many minutes do you use on your cell phone in a month. How many miles you drive each day. How many DVDs in your collection. (Jo )
You get the idea. Think of the numbers in your life & let your creativity flow………………Have fun!

School is ALMOST here!!!!

Well, we have been going to school orientations, meeting teachers, getting supplies packed up and Tuesday is the day!!!!! But in the meantime, we've been having some fun at the pool this week.....Kaleb was having so much have doing his jumps, dives and of course, his cannonballs...I don't know how many time I heard, "Mom, look at my cannonball" and then Danielle reading her book....she's been obsessed with her book and was determined to finish it and did!!!

And I just love this picture of my little man....gotta love those freckles, just like his mom!!!

Today we have been going through clothes and man have both of my kids grown...I bought Danielle tennis shoes at the end of school size 6 and just got her 71/2.....OMG. All of Kaleb's jeans from last winter are about an inch too short......man oh man.....time to start winter clothes shopping!!!! Before we even got started going through Kaleb's clothes, he was too clean his room up and so I went to check on him and he got caught red-handed sleeping on the job..........(he spent the night with his friend Caleb and they didn't go to sleep until late.....now thats tired...LOL!!! LOOK AT THE MESSY ROOM!!!!!

I also got my Olympic Challenge done today for Week 3 over at Tallyscrapper and let me tell you, did Leah give us one tough challenge.....

USA is currently in first with the most medals! With a combination of Gold, Silver, and Bronze totaling 95 medals! Amazing isn't it? You've been scrapping your little hearts out, working relentlessly to come away victorious against Team Crowe. You guys always put up one heckuva good fight! Last week was about bare essentials… this week, however, is about stamina.Going the distance. Rallying behind one another to keep each other going. How much is too much? Can you pile it on to take the Gold medal?Brave enough to weather the elements? We're about to find out. Breaking down the medal count for USA, as of Thursday afternoon, looked like this: Gold: 29 Silver:34Bronze: 32 Your challenge:*Use something Gold on your layout… and 29 pieces of pattern paper (no more no less)*Use something Silver on your layout… and 34 stickers (no more, no less)*Use something Bronze (or copper colored) on your layout… and 32 brads (no more, no less)*IN addition to the above, I also want to see 95 things about YOU on the layout, in your own handwriting.*Everything else is up to you!

Playing in the Rain!!!!

Don't you remember doing this as a child....I used to all the time, so when we got a summer shower today with no thundering or lightning, Danielle asked to play in the rain....okay, why not!!!! It was abit colder than she thought it would be, but she had a great time riding her bike and splashing around in the puddles.....

I also got my layout done for the Olympic Challenge over at Tallyscrapper today....this was abit hard for me, but I like how it turned out!!! Of course, I love scrapping Kaleb and some of the silly things he does!!!
Our challenge was to use NO pattern paper, NO stickers, NO rubons but we could use as much Cardstock, paint & ink, tape, staples that we wanted. Toughie challenge!!!
