Lots of FUN to be had...Come CHECK it out!!!!

I'm so excited that its finally FRIDAY...WOOHOO!! But that doesn't mean SLOW DOWN at all...we have a LOADED weekend ahead of us...Birthday Party Cook-out with neighbors on Saturday, End of the Season Soccer Cook-Out on Sunday and of course, just to make it even more crazier, we are going to throw in Strawberry Picking tomorrow too...Yeah!!! But with that all going on...tomorrow, Saturday, May 1st is "National Scrapbooking Day" or "NSD" for short, for my friends that have NO idea what I'm talking about!!!

So with NSD just tomorrow, their is going to be so much FUN going on this weekend...First off, Tallyscrapper is having a "NSD Mini Cyber Crop" this weekend...lots of fUN games and challenges!! Also, New Guest Designer for May will be announced using Nikki's AWESOME May Kit...so come join us this weekend ladies!!

Also, since I'm one of the three NEW Guest Designers for Timeless Daydreams, I get to issue a challenge and game for some NSD fun over there too...this is an AWESOME NEW site that my friend, Dolores, has started with one of her friends, Michele...I'm lovin' all the awesome ladies that I've met and love their kits...just gorgeous!! Okay, so Timeless is starting the weekend off with a giveaway...

Busy, Busy.....BUSY!!

I swear, I seriously need like three of ME...that would help out tremendously!! Between Soccer tourament games, broken butts and ER visits, Hubby coming home, scrapbooking...its been CRAZY!! Okay, your wondering about the broken butt...well, my dear DJ fractured her tailbone last saturday at a Retirement Party up the street on a blow-up bouncy thing...she's doing alot better, she's just really sore and has to carry a pillow with her everywhere!! Kaleb had his last soccer game yesterday...they played such a GREAT game and they ended up tying it up, but when they went to goal shots, they lost by one and didn't win...Boohoo!!!

I've got some exciting NEWS...I was participating in the March Madness Contest over at Timeless Daydreams, it was FIVE weeks of Awesome Challenges by both Michele and Dolores and Well, I WON one of the three Guest Designer spots...WOOHOO, So excited...they put out the best KITS :) Here was my last layout for Round FIVE...it had to be an "All about ME" layout...

Enjoying the warm Weather!!!

I am just LOVING this beautiful weather that we have been having here in good ol' NC lately...I've been planting and planting NEW bushes and flowers in my gardens...I had some Lantana that really over took my front garden and it got so big, that it killed some of my holly bushes...just an excuse to get some new plants and bushes!!! I've also been messing around with my camera taking some photos of some of the new flowers and new growth...

And of course, I have to get some pics of the NEW leaves on my Crate Mrytle...this is one of my favorite trees...

Woohoo Hostas, hostas and more hostas...this is just about the only plant that is coming back up and its multiplying...LOVE my Hostas!!!

Also, GUESS WhAT...I designed the April Kit from Tallyscrapper!! I was so honored when Brandy asked Nikki and I to designed a kit each...but honestly, I didn't realize how hard it is...especially when trying to find stuff from different manufacturer's and hope its matches...but I like the final result!! Thanks Brandy!!(the kit should be up for sell today!!)

Happy April FOOLS Day!!!!

Wow, I can NOT believe that April is here already, where have the days gone...Well with Easter this weekend, Kelly over at Scrapfit had us make an Altered Egg using Jillibean Soup Products for Workout 17!!!

Here is what I made...I took a strofoam egg and misted it with Olive Vine Glimmer Mist and then cut some strips of Pattern Paper and used some ribbon & twine and Used my handy dandy HELMAR 450 Quick Dry Adhesive to glue this entire project together...



I also did this layout for the March Madness Contest going on over at Timeless Daydreams...here is my layout for Round 2...and used the 3/25th sketch from Design Dollies

Lookie at What I got in the mail yesterday.....

Woohoo, Look at what the UPS guy brought to my house yesterday....

I WON this on Helmar's BlogHop a couple weekends ago and
I so CAN'T wait to use this Crackle Medium...I only have two other products from them, their Helmar ScrapDots(which btw, are to die for) and their Helmar 450 Quick Dry...now mind you, I've only been using this adhesive for about a month now and lets just say, that my bottle is already half gone...I absolutely LOVE the 450 Quick Dry...I used it on a lil' altered project for ScrapFit, but I can't show you until April 1st, how about alittle sneaky peek though...(I used the Helmar 450 Quick Dry to adhere this entire Project!!)


Also, I was FEATURED on Helmar's Facebook Page...I was so excited!!!

Also, just finished a layout for TallyIdol Challenge #6 over at Tallyscrapper...
We had to pick a Song that meant something to me with someone, could be my hubby, child, bff...I chose this Song "Because I LOVE you..." by Stevie B. This song is very special to Bill and I...so the pictures in the Layout are from when we were dating, in 1990...WOW, it seems so long ago!!! We were married the following year.

(I used Helmar's 450 Quick Dry to adhere all of the flowers)

Have a GREAT Thursday...the weekend is almost here!!!

I can't even begin to tell you how much I'm enjoying the beautiful weather here, the last two weekends have been gorgeous, which means in my household..SOCCER and more SOCCER...I finally remembered to take my camera with me and got a few pics of Kaleb Playing soccer(okay, mostly just standing around, but who cares, he still looks cute)...Check him out...



(heehee, that looks alittle ackward!!)
But he did make the first goal for his team on Saturday's Game...he was so excited!!!
This weekend we have a busy weekend....Kaleb has a game in the morning and then this Saturday is our teams turn for Concession Stand Duty and well, of course, some of the parents didn't volunteer to help out, so the Miller family is taking 2 hours of duty...its hopefully going to be a nice weekend, so it'll be fun :)

I know we all have those moments when we say
"Man I was totally wrong what was I thinking??" or "Where was my head??"
It is always a good thing to look back...reflect
on a mistake or lesson learned and remember how we got here in life
and how that mistake or lesson helped us move along.
After all what good are mistakes if we do not learn from them?
So this week's challenge is to scrap one of those DOH! moments!
It does not have to be negative,
it can be a positive outcome, or great lesson learned...
Now go get DIRTY!!!!!

**What was I thinking**

Journaling says:I thought we were friends, that is what I was thinking!! But friends don't betray your trust, friends don't say or act the way you acted, friends don't treat you the way you treated me!! I trusted you completely and now realize that was really stupid on my part, but guess what, my eyes are Wide Open now!!!

I'm also participating in March Madness over at Timeless Daydreams...I made it through the first round with this layout(below), "Follow your Dreams".

Also, Tara Orr was our Guest Designer over at Tallyscrapper back in January and well, I fell in love with her work and while browsing her blog, I saw that she is the Guest Designer for Pencil Lines Sketch Blog, so I jumped right in and used her sketch for this layout as well...

Also, I have found the BEST adhesive,HELMAR, thanks to my friend, Pinky. She's been telling me about it forever and I finally broke down and got the Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive and their ScrapDots...I think I've used them on every project since I got this in the mail about a month ago. The scrapdots are fabulous, they take abit to dry, but they ADD so much dimension to your embellishments. And the 450 Quick Dry...well, I will never go back to anything else, this is probably my favorite..LOVE it :)
