Mojo was MIA!!!

Don't you HATE it when you feel like you
have NO mojo and just can't seem to sit down
and actually be creative...well that has been me
that last couple of weeks. I would just stare at my
scrapbook table and stare some more, knowing
that I need to get busy, but just can't seem to do
it....well, finally....
I was able to sit down yesterday and scrap not
one layout, but two...which is very unusual for me...
I'm usually just a one layout-a-day kind of girl...but
I completed two layouts and it was so much
fun...
Well it also helps to get some inspiration from Liz's
Sketches over at "The Scrappiest"...Today sketch 120
will be up (isn't this a great one)...

Counting my blessings....

Well, I don't even know where to begin...
well as most of you know, I live in Jacksonville, NC
and this past Saturday, they were calling for nasty
thunderstorms and tornadoes. I think I watched the
news channel pretty much most of the afternoon, just
keeping an eye on where they were hitting...well, most
of the day, they were mainly north of us...at about 7:15pm
you could see the storm cell on the tv showing that a storm
was coming our way and just about all of these storms were
producing tornadoes!! The hubby and kids were outside playing
football in the cul-de-sac, so I yelled to them, that a storm was coming
this way and about 10 minutes later, they all came in...it was starting
to rain. The storm was coming into J'ville and they were calling for it
to hit the Piney Green area around 7:45pm...so we headed into the
bedroom closet and I just sat in there with the two kiddos. Of course,
you could hear the storm, rain coming down along with lightning...we lost
power and of course hubby being from Iowa, was outside watching the storms,
basically listening for anything...he came running in, threw the mattress over the kids and I and
told us to stay down....the storm passed, we were still out of power and had no idea
if any tornadoes had hit anywhere...well they had, apparently right in some neighborhoods
right off of Piney Green. So the storm had passed and we never heard anything else come our
way that evening, so we played a good ol' game of Charades with the kids in the dark and then
watched a movie on our laptop(thank goodness it was charged already).
Well, come to find out on Sunday morning, once power came back on...the tornado
first touched down on Camp Lejeune, Tarawa Terrace I and destroyed some of the
base housing before jumping across Hwy. 24 and then destroying a trailer park and then
onto the neighborhoods by my house. The destruction is about 2 minutes from my house, but
at work on Monday, a bldg. inspector came in with his tornado path map...

Apparently, that tornado was alot closer then I had originally thought...My house is on the left hand side, in that neighborhood, I live in the culdesac...this is about a mile from where I live...Unbelievable.

I'm so thankful that we
are fine, but so many others in my community are homeless and have lost everything...so sad.

On to other news,
I was recently asked to be a contributor to one of my friends
scrapping blogs "What's Scrapping"....I just love all the inspiration you
can find over there...You need to come and check it out...

LOVE days like this!!!!

What a wonderful weekend we had...Sunday,
we decided to head to the beach and just relax...
it didn't start out beautiful at all, but by the end of the
day, it was absolutely gorgeous...had some crab legs,
shrimp at Molly's at the Sheraton on the beach and
the kids just enjoyed the sun and sand. I didn't think
they would get in the water, it was only in the 70's that day, but
boy was I wrong...

It was a great day....couple more shots that I

got of the kiddos..

They are actually being nice to one another, I'm shocked...lol ;)

Don't ask, I have no idea what he was doing...

he just likes to play in the sand.

Wow, what a Fun-Filled Crazy Weekend!!!

It sure has been busy in my neighborhood lately,
kids going in every direction, soccer practices, games,
basketball banquets, working at my fun new job, hubby retiring
from the Marine Corps...busy, busy!!
Well, Friday night was Danielle's Basketball Banquet, she
was really excited. This is her last year playing Middle School
Basketball, most of her teammates are going to different High
Schools, so this was bitter-sweet for her. But in the end, they
all had a wonderful time and are all such great girls and she has
got some great coaches...

I just love this Basketball Banquets,

Coach Blunt always makes the girls dress up

for the banquet, which is nice for mom,

because otherwise, Danielle wouldn't ever

put a dress on to save her life.

But doesn't she look just gorgeous!!!

Most of the Girls Basketball Team, LadyBears(7th & 8th Graders)

Danielle got "Most Rebounds" for the season and of course

her Basketball Trophy. So proud of her.

Danielle and one of her bestie 7th grader friends, Dana.

And of course, Danielle and her bff, Monica...I swear, I wonder about

these girls sometimes, so goofy :)

And here is Kaleb, right before we got to the banquet, not a happy camper...did NOT want to be going...LOVE his expression...(can't wait to use this photo on a layout)

Tallyscrapper's "Light It Up Blue" Autism Cyber Crop and the gorgeous April KIT

When Christine aka Scrappgal came to Tally asking to help raise awareness for Autism, of course, we jumped at the opportunity to help her out. Been in the Scrappy Mood and Tally's April Pre-Order Kit is UP today!!!

I just got me some scrappy goodies
in the mail and let me tell you
I'M IN LOVE!!!
I got two NEW Collections from
Crate Paper, Portrait Collection and
ToyBox Collections, omg love them both.
I did this layout of Kaleb bowling at his
10th birthday party this past weekend and
used the Crate's ToyBox Papers and Chipboard...
took me all of like 20 minutes...I was having so much
fun with this collection!!

I also got NEW Reflection papers and flowers from Prima
that was just released at CHA....I love the dark rich colors
of these flowers and papers....here is a layout I did using these

"One Fine Day" this layout is of my daughter, Danielle and my bff's
daughter, Shannon, right before we went to see the play, "The Nutracker"
in Raleigh, they were so excited and too cute all dressed up!!

I did this layout for the Survivor Challenges that are going on

Last week was such a CraZy busy week..........

Wow, what a week it was last week...
I started my Part-time job at the bakery, which
btw, I LOVE!! Its so much fun, I still
have alot to learn, but I'm really enjoying
getting out of the house for a couple of hours
and having some adult conversation...yah!!!
Not only did I start work, but Danielle is right in the
middle of signing up for High School classes(omg,
I can't believe I have an almost high schooler, where
did the time go...), but bill and I have been going to meetings
for different programs they are offering and just basic information
about what classes they need to take and what classes go with what,
CraZy!!! But we got her all signed up for ALL honor classes, who knew
that if you take English I Honors, that that goes with World History Honors
and that Geometry Honors goes with Biology Honors...Holy Cow, I was so
confused by the time I left that parent mtg. But we got her
schedule done and turned into her counselor. And she also made
Marching Band, which she had to audition for and made it, she super
excited!!
But on top of that Kaleb is having some issues with school, so I've
been on the phone with the school counselor trying to get that worked out!!
All I can say about that, is from now on, I will listen to my first instant and
if I don't think a teacher is a good fit for him, then i WILL move him. Never
again!!!!
So all in all, it was a SUPER crazy emotional busy week for me!! But let me tell you
when I got home from work on Friday and after picking Dj up from school, I sat down
at my scrapbook table and scrapped...it felt soooo good.

So I started working on my Survivor layout for Week 5 over at
Tallyscrapper, since my team is "Team Boston Rob" and he is famous
for his Boston RedSock hats, our challenge was to use a hat in either the Title, in a photo,
or a hat embellishment. Well, I went with the Hat photos of my daughter and her
little hat phase that she went through a couple years back. We also had to use a big
"B" on our layout, atleast an inch tall.
I also used Sketch 112 from "The Scrappiest" for this layout as well...

Kaleb's Birthday, Scrappiest Sketch #111 and some GOOD news....

So I will start with the GOOD news....
I got a job...YAH ME.
I decided a couple months back
that it was high time I find me a
pt job and well,
my good friend, Susan texted me
about a week ago and wanted
to know if I was still interested in a pt job
at the bakery....heck yeah!! So I went
in last Wednesday for a little interview
with Amy(she owns the White Oak Bakery)
and she hired me...believe me, this is much
needed...I need to get out of the house and have
some adult time...AWAY from the kids.
So I will be working M-F from 11-2 and maybe
some Saturdays once Soccer is over for the season.
Its not about the money, cuz I will NOT be making
that much, but more for my sanity!! So tomorrow is
my first day...so I will let you know how it goes!!!

Also, my Kaleb had a birthday on Friday...he turned "10"!!
Omg, where has the time gone....we are going to have a
bowling party for him next Sunday with a bunch of his
friends...he's really excited!!!
But in the meantime, we went ahead and gave him
one of his presents...

He loves playing "War" in the neighborhood with his buddies, so we got him an air-soft gun(believe me, he does not play with the bb's), its just for play. He loves it and was outside all day and weekend playing with it!!

Also, i don't know what was going on with our cat and Kaleb, but

I got this photo of the two of them...Must have been serious, cuz it looks like Oreo is

getting read the right act...lol.

Oreo, you had better watch out!!(honestly Oreo can hold his own, if he gets

tired of Kaleb, he will not hestitate to bite him...lol)

Also, today is MONDAY which means its Reveal day for another fabulous sketch

from the "Scrappiest" Sketch #111...

that just happened....

Okay, so over at Tallyscrapper, we are playing
Survivor and for this weeks challenges, I issued the
challenge for Wk. 2 for Team Russell and Christine issued the
challenge for my team, Team Boston Rob....
well, usually I don't have such a hard time
with a challenge, but for some reason,
this one liner that Christine said the we had to use...."that just happened..."
was kicking my butt....I could NOT find a photo to fit
this challenge.
But then I found this one of Bill and I
on the beach last year, obviously I don't take very good self photos,
you know the ones where you turn the camera around and get
one of yourself or in this case, of Bill and I. Well, I suck at
it and totally cut Bill's entire head out of the photo and only got abit of
me in the photo...too funny. I didn't think I would ever use this
photo, but here it is on this Survivor layout, heehee....

"it just happened"

a couple of my close-ups...can I just say, I absolutely LOVE Crate Paper's Restoration Collection...probably one of my all-time favs...

And I think I'm addicted to Baker's Thread...using it alot lately ;)

This layout is also for the Current ScrapFit Workout #38 "Kick the Winter Blues"....this is the perfect challenge right now especially with all of the craZy weather that everyone has been getting lately...

For this Workout, you had to use the colors-

Green, Yellow, Orange, Red and White

I can't wait to see ALL of the exciting things she has planned for us. I'm excited to be staying on as the Creative Assistant along with Nikki Zimmer. We have a Gorgeous "Love in Paris" Kit that will be released on February 1st. Make sure to mark your calendars, this kit will NOT be around for long. Good Morning, my friends...
I know your probably shocked that I'm
actually posting twice in one week...I'm
going to try my best to update more on my blog
for 2011, we'll see...lol!!!!
I have a NEW layout to share with you today...

For this layout"Goofball" I used the Nov/Dec. Kit from Tallyscrapper. I won some
Smooch Spritz from a friends blog, so I used it to spray the background paper from the kit

Changes for 2011

OMG, Happy New Year....
I still can't believe
that it is
2011
already!!!
I swear time is just
flying by.
So of course I've made
the usual New Years
Resolutions...
*Eat Healthier
*Exercise More
BUT
I'm making a few different
ones this year....

**I'm going to do a 5k with my bff, Pam(my first, so we'll see how it goes)

**Keep up with my laundry and house more

**Going to find me a part-time job

I don't know if those are really the proper-type of resolutions to make...but i don't care...this is about me and what I need to do for me!!!!

2011 is going to be a great year and alot of BIG changes for our family. Bill found out in December that he will be retiring on June 1st from the Marine Corps. Honestly, this scares the crap out of me, but I know that he is ready to move on with the next chapter of his life. Which is why ONE of my resolutions is to find a pt job...lol!! We are hoping that he can find a job here in Jacksonville, NC, since we already have a house, plus Danielle will be starting High School next year...Yikes!! So ALOT of changes ahead for us this year!! Please pray for our family!!

So the next big change for me so far this year is......

Yep, I went dark!! OMG, I was competely in shock when I first saw my hair, wasn't sure if I would like it, since I have ALWAYS been blonde, but its growing on me. Thanks for all the nice comments on facebook!!!

So I do believe that covers MY big changes so far this year and some of my resolutions that I want to accomplish this year!!

On another note...I've been struggling with scrapbooking lately, not the process, but just some personal issues that I was having(not going to get into it all, those who scrap with me at Tally, know what I'm talking about)but I do believe that is changing for the better.

Here are a couple of layouts that I have completed in the last week or so....

**Diva** I used the Nov/Dec. kit from Tallyscrapper for this layout. I just love this photo of my daughter...shows her personality perfectly!!

**Thankful** I used the December kit from Little Red Scrapbook Club for this layout.

ScrapFit Design Team Call and BIG Changes

Hello all of my fabulous friends, I know its been forever since I've updated my blog and I will catch everyone up in the next day or so...but I wanted to go ahead and give you guys heads up about the ScrapFit Design Team Call that is going on....
Not only is their a DT CALL, but big changes are in store for ScrapFIT too!!!
I've been with ScrapFit now going on a year and have LOVED working with Kelly and all of the fabulous Fitgirls. Unfortunately, Kelly has decided to step down from ScrapFit and hand it over to someone else and thankfully one of our own fitgirls, Sara Zenger is going to take it over. I'm really excited for Scrapfit and for Sara to see what the coming year, has in store for us...I hope all of you atleast tryout for this DT, its a great one to be on!!!

ScrapFIT (www.scrapfit.blogspot.com) is a growing scrapbook challenge blog that will give you a real workout! We have 2 workouts (challenges) per month and they are sure to push you out of your comfort zone and inspire you to try something new! its been a rough week....

Well, I've been dealing with some

medical issues that I have been putting

off for about a year now and honestly, I

can't put them off any longer, so the time has

come for me to get my butt in gear and

do something about it. So, I haven't been

scrapping alot here the last couple of weeks,

but I have managed to get a couple of things

done...

First off, TODAY is Reveal day over at ScrapFit!!

Another fabulous Workout #30...

"Color Me HappY"

its a color challenge,

I want to see Black, Orange, Lime green and Purple.

Use a solid colored Cardstock, in one of these colors,

as your base--the rest is up to You!!

Where have I been???

Oh man, I haven't blogged in forever...

No excuses though, just incredibly busy, I think??

So what have I been up to?

Well, we went to Virginia Beach over Labor Day Weekend

to visit our friends Gene, Rachel and Janessa

that moved up there recently...had a wonderful time!!

So its back to the grind, kids in school, getting

myself back on some sort of schedule...hmmm, don't

So hectic here lately.....

Isn't it suppose to slow down,
when the kids go back
to school????
Well, it has been a craZy week...
Bill had his throat surgery last
Wednesday and is doing great!!
Thank you to everyone for the prayers
and well wishes, its greatly appreciated!!!
Well, both kids have started back to school,
Danielle is in her last year at New Bridge Middle
and I think she likes being top dog over there
this year!! Kaleb has started 3rd grade and seems
to like his teacher...we'll see!!! He has also started
soccer again and the games should be starting
soon!!!
We are heading out of town this weekend to Virginia Beach
to visit some good friends of ours, that moved there
recently...we're going to spend the day at Busch Gardens,
the kids are super excited, but honestly I super excited to get
out of J'ville for a weekend!!!
So, I've been on the computer all morning, getting things
ready for a couple of REALLY cool Challenges we have coming up!!

Yeah, Survivor is coming back in a few weeks, I'm so excited.
This is the one show that Bill and I religiously watch
together...Can't wait for Sept. 15th!!

So that means that we are starting up the "Survivor" Challenges over at
Tallyscrapper!! I just love these challenges, they get me really

It's funny how people hurt the ones they love the most.
Sometimes is it so toxic you have to cut them off, sometimes you
can handle it but it's a daily struggle, sometimes you just avoid it
altogether. This challenge is all about those who love to hurt you
or just blindly hurt you while saying, "I love you".
No it might not be intentional, but it still hurts.

Maybe its the sister who constantly says how horrible your
children are, or the friend who always criticizes your weight.
Or the parent who only sees their child who makes mistakes
and does not acknowledge your accomplishments.

Its ok to see the pain, and its ok to still love them.

It's therapeutic to be aware!!

OMG, I'm so Happy and Excited!!!!

Happy Birthday to ME and ScrapFit!!!!

First off, I want to thank everyone

for ALL of the

Birthday Wishes

that I got by email, Facebook

and websites!! I had a good

birthday, okay an interesting birthday!!

My kids and hubby made me

breakfast in bed before my hubby left

for San Diego, CA.(cuz he wouldn't be

here over my bday) Well, he was

suppose to be gone for three weeks,

and ended up in the ER in SanDiego and found

out he has a herniated disc and so they sent

him home early, with screwed up flights, he didn't

manage to get home til Sunday, on my bday.

I had to drive to Raleigh to pick him up, so it

wasn't the day I had planned, but atleast he was

home with us!!

and the first Challenge was
so MUCH FUN...here is my first layout...

There are 4 different teams and each team basically has the
same challenge expect for a few different elements...

Summer fUN!!!!

Well, its been awhile since
I've actually
BLOGGED and I have
SO much to share...
first off, we went to Springfield, MO
for Vacation to Bill's sister, Amy and her
family...we had so much
FUN...(I'm ready to go back again NOW)
We we first got there, amy had a
surprise Birthday Party for Bill
and he was alittle clueless, even with
ALL of the balloons around, he
still didn't get it....duh....

the whole gang....

the next day, Amy and Rob took
us to this Restaurant, Lamberts...

this was so much fUN, they have got the best
ROLLS that I've ever had plus they just dont'
come to you with your dinner....the waiters come
out with a cart full and they throw them across
the room to you, just raise your hand.
Of course, I missed the
first one that was thrown to me...OOPS!!
of course, the kids loved this....

of course, there was abit of a wait to get in,
but the kids had a fun time playing checkers,
climbing over the fence....

these kids are so funny....they are
too cute!!
The kids had a great time in Amy & Rob's pool...
they spent hours in there....
even Emma had to get into the action and
started jumping in the pool by herself
(she wouldn't dare do it), till she started
seeing the older kids jump in and she
didn't want to be left out...

We had such a GREAT
time....

This is a reflective Challenge.

Everyone has had those moments, those "I wish I had known then" moments. Maybe it was too late to say goodbye, maybe you wish you had known you were beautiful and sexy, maybe you wish you had known how hard it would have been or how easy it would have been if you had tried it earlier?
I wish I had known it was going to be ok, I wish I had known I was going to lose you, I wish I had known how valuable I really was.
So much life to scrap, so little time.

this is all about the relationship I had with my boyfriend when I was 17 and just thought that their was NO ONE else out there for me...man was I wrong.

Summer begins.....

Well, school is officially out tomorrow.....
I know I'm ready for them
to be OUT for
awhile...ask me again in a few
days and I will probably be
pulling my hair out...LOL!!!!
But we have some FUN stuff planned,
first off we are heading to
Springfield, MO to visit my
SIL and her family over July 4th holiday!!
Danielle will be continuing in her basketball Camp
this summer, she is not thrilled, but oh well....its
already paid for and so she's going!!
She's got band camp in July, which is absolutely
LOVED last summer.
I think I'm going to sign Kaleb up for some swimming
lessons, maybe even sign him up for a daycamp...he gets
so bored so easily. Also, looking at tutoring for him during
the summer, especially in reading and math.
Then there's Tucker Lake, beach & pool....Yeah!!!
Its been a crazy couple of weeks with all of the end of year
activities, award ceremonies, concerts....etc, etc. Kaleb recieved
three awards this year, one in spelling, most improved and perfect
attendence(?), which this one kind of surprised me...I know he's
missed a few days here and there.
Danielle received a couple of awards as well....more then last year,
which a couple of them, even she was surprised. She got an award
for highest average in Langage Arts(which her teacher asked her why
she wasn't already in AG class, which hmmm, I don't know), Basketball
award/pin, AR for getting 100 pts., and she got the "Leadership" award again
this year....So proud of BOTH of the kids...they both worked REALLY
hard this year!!!

So in other news, I've been playing around with Tallyscrapper's June Kit
the last couple of days and I'm lovin' it...

Woohoo, its Friday!!!

I'm so glad that it's fINALLY Friday, for one...
My hubby is
COMING home..yeah!!!

The kids are done with EOG's!!
This was Kaleb's first time doing EOG's

to say the least, he was abit stressed.

I'm so excited that its finally FRIDAY...WOOHOO!! But that doesn't mean SLOW DOWN at all...we have a LOADED weekend ahead of us...Birthday Party Cook-out with neighbors on Saturday, End of the Season Soccer Cook-Out on Sunday and of course, just to make it even more crazier, we are going to throw in Strawberry Picking tomorrow too...Yeah!!! But with that all going on...tomorrow, Saturday, May 1st is "National Scrapbooking Day" or "NSD" for short, for my friends that have NO idea what I'm talking about!!!

So with NSD just tomorrow, their is going to be so much FUN going on this weekend...First off, Tallyscrapper is having a "NSD Mini Cyber Crop" this weekend...lots of fUN games and challenges!! Also, New Guest Designer for May will be announced using Nikki's AWESOME May Kit...so come join us this weekend ladies!!

Busy, Busy.....BUSY!!

I swear, I seriously need like three of ME...that would help out tremendously!! Between Soccer tourament games, broken butts and ER visits, Hubby coming home, scrapbooking...its been CRAZY!! Okay, your wondering about the broken butt...well, my dear DJ fractured her tailbone last saturday at a Retirement Party up the street on a blow-up bouncy thing...she's doing alot better, she's just really sore and has to carry a pillow with her everywhere!! Kaleb had his last soccer game yesterday...they played such a GREAT game and they ended up tying it up, but when they went to goal shots, they lost by one and didn't win...Boohoo!!!

I've got some exciting NEWS...I was participating in the March Madness Contest over at Timeless Daydreams, it was FIVE weeks of Awesome Challenges by both Michele and Dolores and Well, I WON one of the three Guest Designer spots...WOOHOO, So excited...they put out the best KITS :) Here was my last layout for Round FIVE...it had to be an "All about ME" layout...

Enjoying the warm Weather!!!

I am just LOVING this beautiful weather that we have been having here in good ol' NC lately...I've been planting and planting NEW bushes and flowers in my gardens...I had some Lantana that really over took my front garden and it got so big, that it killed some of my holly bushes...just an excuse to get some new plants and bushes!!! I've also been messing around with my camera taking some photos of some of the new flowers and new growth...

And of course, I have to get some pics of the NEW leaves on my Crate Mrytle...this is one of my favorite trees...

Woohoo Hostas, hostas and more hostas...this is just about the only plant that is coming back up and its multiplying...LOVE my Hostas!!!

Just a few goofy pics of my daughter...she is such a camera ham...

Also, GUESS WhAT...I designed the April Kit from Tallyscrapper!! I was so honored when Brandy asked Nikki and I to designed a kit each...but honestly, I didn't realize how hard it is...especially when trying to find stuff from different manufacturer's and hope its matches...but I like the final result!! Thanks Brandy!!(the kit should be up for sell today!!)

Happy April FOOLS Day!!!!

Wow, I can NOT believe that April is here already, where have the days gone...Well with Easter this weekend, Kelly over at Scrapfit had us make an Altered Egg using Jillibean Soup Products for Workout 17!!!

Here is what I made...I took a strofoam egg and misted it with Olive Vine Glimmer Mist and then cut some strips of Pattern Paper and used some ribbon & twine and Used my handy dandy HELMAR 450 Quick Dry Adhesive to glue this entire project together...

I also did this layout for the March Madness Contest going on over at Timeless Daydreams...here is my layout for Round 2...and used the 3/25th sketch from Design Dollies

Woohoo, Look at what the UPS guy brought to my house yesterday....

I WON this on Helmar's BlogHop a couple weekends ago and
I so CAN'T wait to use this Crackle Medium...I only have two other products from them, their Helmar ScrapDots(which btw, are to die for) and their Helmar 450 Quick Dry...now mind you, I've only been using this adhesive for about a month now and lets just say, that my bottle is already half gone...I absolutely LOVE the 450 Quick Dry...I used it on a lil' altered project for ScrapFit, but I can't show you until April 1st, how about alittle sneaky peek though...(I used the Helmar 450 Quick Dry to adhere this entire Project!!)

Also, I was FEATURED on Helmar's Facebook Page...I was so excited!!!

Also, just finished a layout for TallyIdol Challenge #6 over at Tallyscrapper...
We had to pick a Song that meant something to me with someone, could be my hubby, child, bff...I chose this Song "Because I LOVE you..." by Stevie B. This song is very special to Bill and I...so the pictures in the Layout are from when we were dating, in 1990...WOW, it seems so long ago!!! We were married the following year.

(I used Helmar's 450 Quick Dry to adhere all of the flowers)

I can't even begin to tell you how much I'm enjoying the beautiful weather here, the last two weekends have been gorgeous, which means in my household..SOCCER and more SOCCER...I finally remembered to take my camera with me and got a few pics of Kaleb Playing soccer(okay, mostly just standing around, but who cares, he still looks cute)...Check him out...

(heehee, that looks alittle ackward!!)
But he did make the first goal for his team on Saturday's Game...he was so excited!!!
This weekend we have a busy weekend....Kaleb has a game in the morning and then this Saturday is our teams turn for Concession Stand Duty and well, of course, some of the parents didn't volunteer to help out, so the Miller family is taking 2 hours of duty...its hopefully going to be a nice weekend, so it'll be fun :)

I know we all have those moments when we say
"Man I was totally wrong what was I thinking??" or "Where was my head??"
It is always a good thing to look back...reflect
on a mistake or lesson learned and remember how we got here in life
and how that mistake or lesson helped us move along.
After all what good are mistakes if we do not learn from them?
So this week's challenge is to scrap one of those DOH! moments!
It does not have to be negative,
it can be a positive outcome, or great lesson learned...
Now go get DIRTY!!!!!

Journaling says:I thought we were friends, that is what I was thinking!! But friends don't betray your trust, friends don't say or act the way you acted, friends don't treat you the way you treated me!! I trusted you completely and now realize that was really stupid on my part, but guess what, my eyes are Wide Open now!!!

Also, Tara Orr was our Guest Designer over at Tallyscrapper back in January and well, I fell in love with her work and while browsing her blog, I saw that she is the Guest Designer for Pencil Lines Sketch Blog, so I jumped right in and used her sketch for this layout as well...

Also, I have found the BEST adhesive,HELMAR, thanks to my friend, Pinky. She's been telling me about it forever and I finally broke down and got the Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive and their ScrapDots...I think I've used them on every project since I got this in the mail about a month ago. The scrapdots are fabulous, they take abit to dry, but they ADD so much dimension to your embellishments. And the 450 Quick Dry...well, I will never go back to anything else, this is probably my favorite..LOVE it :)

Are you ready for a fUN blog Hop this weekend....Well, each Design Team Member over at ScrapFit are participating in a "Spring is in the Air" Blog Hop...I don't know about you, but I'm so ready for spring to be here and stay for awhile. I just love all the daffodils that are starting to peak up...so ready to get outside in my gardens...

Friday evening, Danielle had her LadyBears Basketball Banquet...and of course, Coach told them that they ALL had to wear dresses, well Ms. Danielle is not a dress person, so we had to go DRESS shopping and honestly, she picked the cutest little sundress...check my baby out...

I finally **SCRAPPED** today...Woohoo!! I feel like I have been in abit of a slump lately and having NO mojo doesn't help!!! Well, browsing around the net this morning, I came across a "Going Green" Blog Hop over at Sassy lil' Sketches!! I've been checking it out lately and am loving all of the AWESOME sketches that they have over there and this one for the BlogHop is NO exception...
Here are the details of "Going Green" Challenge:
Create a project (card, layout, or altered) using the "Going Green" sketch below AND one of the following "Going Green" criteria:

1. "Go Green:" Do a project that is predominantly green in color.
2. "Reduce:" Reduce your stash by creating a project where all the product used are at least one year old (no new stuff).
3. "Reuse:" Do a project with left overs from a previous project.
4. "Recycle:" Do a project with an item that was used for something else first.

Here is my layout for this Challenge...I decided to go with "Reduce" by using products that were over a year old...Lots of older Sass!!

My sweet boy is "9" today....Happy Birthday Kaleb!!!

I still can't believe that my sweet boy is "9" TODAY. He was so excited, that he came into my room and got into bed with me and was like, "Mom, can I please open a present before I go to school"...cuz I had already told him he had to wait till he got home...well, I caved. Then when he walked into the living room this morning, Danielle had gotten a bunch of balloons(from our neighbor) and had written "Happy Birthday" on them and made him a card....so you can guess how it went for trying to get him ready for school this morning....SLOW!! But I did manage to get a couple pics of him before he headed off to school...

This is Kaleb with one of his presents this morning...he is so into his wrestle guys right now...I had a list that he made me with the ones he wanted...this one made it home...Rey Mysterio...

And Kaleb already tired of me taking pics this morning...

I'm going to take him to his favorite restaurant, Red Lobster...he will be so excited!!

When I talk to the people I love or friends I often ask myself "Who are they looking at? What glasses are they using?" It's amazing how much less/more critical we would be on ourselves if we saw what others saw. So this challenge is to Scrap a page through someone else's eyes.
Either how someone see YOU (ask them or journal words they have used before) Or scrap a page about how you see someone else. I mean how you REALLY see them. Why they see you that way? Why you see them that way? Think about it and reflect, it might give you some new insight or even compassion (for others or yourself).

What a CRAZY couple of Weeks!!!

Man, I don't even know where to begin...so much as been going on in the Miller household...first off, my lovely computer of three years crashed and burned about 2 weeks ago...I signed on and left to take the kiddos to the bus and when I got back home, their was a Norton Message, so I shut the computer down and the damn thing would NOT start up for anything. We aren't sure if we had a virus or if the hard drive just crashed, but our computer friend thinks that the hard drive just crashed. So in the meantime, I was using the computer at the library, till our friend could come look at it, then we GOT SNOW...7+ inches, so our friend was delayed coming home and the library was closed and I had NO computer...I was so lost without my friendly friend...Then Bill fINALLY had his surgery on his vocal cords. We had been fighting with our insurance company and they finally approved it...and that was on Monday in Chapel Hill, NC, which is about 21/2 hours away...the surgery went great, he's just having some pain, of course!! But the next day after his surgery, he took me to Best Buy and bought me a NEW computer and Printer...Thank Goodness!!!! As alot of you know, I scrapbook and my editting program on my old computer, while the NEW one didn't have, so I decided to get Adobe Photoshop Elements 8...Can I say LOST!!! I figured out a few things on it...have LOTS to learn still. Okay, enough ranting about my computer....Check out some of my Snow Photos from this past weekend(of course, these have NOT been editted at all)....

Ohlala, the Tallyscrapper February Kit is HAWT!!!

SOOOOooooooo, basketball is over for Danielle(boohoo)...I just LOVE watching her play, but in the end, they had 7 wins and only 1 loss, WOOHOO NBMS LadyBears!!!!...not bad at all!!! So now its on to Mr. Kaleb...we just signed him up for Soccer, now mind you...he has NOT played in over 2 years, because of broken arms, but he is VERY excited and I'm ready to grab my chairs and head out to the soccer fields every Saturday.

So this week, I have been working on the AmaZing February Kit from Tallyscrapper...it is so yummy, lots of pinks, blues, greens, so frickin' gorgeous..check out what I've done with the kit so far:

ScrapFit Reveals and our little Winter Storm!!!!

Let me just say, it has been quite a weekend...well first off, we got our winter storm late friday night into Saturday morning...heehee, no snow...just alittle bit of ice...I took a few pics before the day got above freezing...

Then I decided to take Danielle and her friend to the movies with my girlfriend to see the matinee "When in Rome" and after we ate lunch at Applebees, I was heading to the gas station and damn,if I didn't run out of gas(right across from the damn gas station, my luck)...Are you kidding me? Luckily, I had some nice men and the Canine Patrol push my car out of the way of traffic...so frickin' embarrassing...I guess its about time to get my gas gage fixed, huh....LOL :) But we did make it to the movie on time and it was a cute movie!!!

SO today is REVEAL DAY over at ScrapFit...this is my first challenge since I made the Design Team and I'm so excited to show you WORKOUT#13:

WOW, what a GREAT week I have had...But today on ScrapFIT I was announced as ONE of their NEW designers!!!WOOHOO!!! This is such a FUN and friendly Challenge Blog and I look forward to being part of it!!!(I have another little secret, but I can't quite tell ya yet, heehee)

This weekend, I got to actually ENJOY some scrapping...I feel like, for the first time in a year or so, I'm enjoying this AWESOME hobby of mine...Plus, I got my January KIT from Tallyscrapper yesterday...OMG, this kit ROCKS!! This is going to be my MOTTO for 2010...to me, everything HAPPENS for a reason, it can be something small or something huge, but for me this year...I'm NOT going to Sweat/Stress on the little things, going to concentrate on being HaPPY and enjoying life with all of my family and friends.
So with that said...I was recently stressed about getting some things done for a deadline and everything around me wasn't going the way I wanted it to(because that is how life rolls sometimes, right?!!)and just sat down, sent an email and let it GO. I was fine with it, no big deal...a couple of friends ask me "WHY", didn't really have a good reason, except it felt right...WELL, then TODAY...another door open, I didn't expect it...just happened....I'm HaPPY and that is what matters, right!!!!

So, I've been scrapping again and HAVING so much fun...Here are a couple of my layouts that I've done the last couple of days...

WOW, Can you believe that 2010 is finally here...This year is going to be a great one for me...
I'm so grateful for so many things in my life and don't NEED to worry about things that I have NO control over!!!

I was able to finally sit down and scrapbook abit today and got this layout done for the ScrapFIT Challenge Blog and for Michelle's Friday Night Sketch over at Tallyscrapper...felt so good to actually get creative!!!

The challenge over at ScrapFIT was to use the Phrase, "It's a Wonderful Life..." and to do some Stitching on your layout!!

OMG, where did the time go...I can NOT believe that Santa claus will be here in just two weeks...I know my kids are counting down the days, till he gets here. I was finally able to get some Christmas photos of the kids in front of the Christmas Tree though...

Big News in the Miller House, Danielle made her Basketball team for her School...She's offically a New Bridge Lady Bear, she was so excited and mom and dad are so proud of her. Congratulations sweetie!!!

I seriously can NOT believe that we have just a few weeks until Christmas...Unbelievable. Where did the time go this year!!! We'll I've been busy doing alittle Christmas shopping, we had Amy, Rob, Evan and Emma come out from Missouri for Thanksgiving this year along with my mom, dad and brother here...it was really nice to have a BIG Thanksgiving together.

Where did October go????

Omg, where does the time go? I swear the kids have been in school now for 2 months, they are getting ready to get their first report cards....Unbelievable and Christmas in like in 60 days...WHAT!?!

Well, we have had ALOT going on in the Miller Household lately....Danielle turned "13" on October 22....My baby is officially a teenager, lord help me!! We had a BIG Barbeque for our friends and family and she had 9 friends come and have a sleepover. We rented a camper for them, which they ended up NOT sleeping in...I think Ms. Danielle was telling scary stories and freaked them all out, so they all ended up on my living room floor...lol!!! But she had a GREAT time!!!

And Danielle finally got her "first" cell phone...she has been SO HAPPY ever since...
check it out, it nicer then my own phone....she's a texting fool....

One of Danielle's FAV things right now is HATS and more HATs.....

With Halloween tomorrow evening, we've been getting everything ready for their costumes...I will take some pics tomorrow...DJ is going to be Michael Jackson and Kaleb is going to be a Marine.
But, in the meantime....the kids have been having some fun with some Halloween Candy that Danielle got for her birthday....Kaleb just LOVED these gummy eyeballs...
